Myofascial release.

Sustained, patient pressure into the fascia — the connective web around your muscles — to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Fascia is the thin, tough web of connective tissue that wraps every muscle. When it dries out or binds down, it restricts movement and generates a deep, hard-to-locate ache that ordinary massage slides right past. Myofascial release works this layer directly.

A different kind of pressure

Rather than kneading muscle, Marc applies slow, sustained pressure and lets the fascia gradually soften and lengthen under his hands. It's patient work, and it reaches restrictions that faster techniques can't. Marc is specifically trained in it.

When it's the right tool

  • A deep, diffuse ache you can't quite pinpoint
  • Stiffness and limited range that lingers after the muscle itself feels fine
  • Old injury or surgical sites where tissue has bound down
  • Full-body tightness that keeps returning no matter how much you stretch

He can help align the body and relieve tension you've been carrying for years. I slept so well after my massage.

Common questions

How is myofascial release different from deep tissue?

Deep tissue works into muscle; myofascial release works the connective tissue around it with slower, more sustained pressure. Marc often blends the two in one session.

Is it painful?

No — it's slower and gentler than deep tissue, though you'll feel a distinct stretch and release as the fascia lets go.

What should I do afterward?

Move and hydrate. Gentle movement helps the newly freed tissue settle into its improved range.
